Job Description



Sr. Paralegal, Disputes & Litigation, provides comprehensive support to Legal Department attorneys globally on disputes, litigation, administrative matters, demands, investigations, and associated insurance matters. Reporting to the Governance, Risk Management, Compliance, & Disputes Group ("GRCD"), this position requires a combination of in house and Am Law 100 or equivalent big law experience with demonstrated expertise in dispute and litigation case management, discovery workflows, and management of insurance claims. The successful candidate will bring big law rigor to an in-house environment, managing multiple matters independently while collaborating with outside counsel, internal stakeholders, and cross-functional teams, internationally.

Responsibilities

Case Management & Support

  • Serve as a key point of contact for the disputes function, ensuring consistent communication.
  • Support attorneys and stakeholders, including monitoring deadlines and coordinating meetings.
  • Manage and organize relevant electronic and physical records, including pleadings, memoranda, and communications.
  • Support continuous improvements to comprehensive disputes and litigation processes.

Outside Counsel & Vendor Management

  • Serve as a primary liaison with outside counsel and relevant vendors on case management, discovery coordination, and matter administration (e.g., e-discovery vendors, law firms).
  • Coordinate coverage with insurance brokers and carriers, prepare insurance claim submissions, and maintain comprehensive claims tracking, manage renewals, and maintain the policy.
  • Track and manage invoices and budgets for relevant vendors (e.g., law firms, consultants, e-discovery) in legal billing software.

Research, Drafting & Discovery Support

  • Conduct legal and factual research using available resources.
  • Draft, proofread, and edit documents prepared by outside counsel, including pleadings, motions, briefs, and discovery.
  • Draft, proofread, and edit internal memoranda, correspondence, case summaries, and dispute and litigation reports.
  • Manage the entire discovery process, including legal hold implementation, document collection, data preservation process, and response, reviewing responsiveness, and privilege.

Bankruptcy & Creditor Matters

  • Monitor bankruptcy dockets and coordinate responses to bankruptcy filings affecting the company.
  • Prepare and file proofs of claim, objections, and related bankruptcy documents.
  • Maintain creditor matrices and track distributions in bankruptcy proceedings.

Qualifications



Required Skills and

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or Paralegal certificate from an accredited program (ABA-approved)
  • Minimum 5-7 years of litigation paralegal experience, including in-house, and at an Am Law 100 firm or equivalent
  • Experience managing outside counsel and vendor relationships, conducting legal research, and preparing for and managing all stages of disputes and litigation.
  • Strong knowledge of legal terminology, procedures, and court rules.
  • Proficiency with legal research databases (e.g., Westlaw, LexisNexis), eDiscovery platforms (e.g., Relativity, Everlaw), and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently, multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.

 

Preferred Skills &

Qualifications

  • 7-10 years litigation experience preferred.
  • Prior experience supporting compliance, governance, labor & employment, or data privacy matters
  • SaaS or technology experience
  • Experience with contract lifecycle management (CLM) systems
  • Familiarity with GRC platforms (One Trust, LogicGate, or similar)
  • Bankruptcy and creditor rights experience
