Position Overview

A leading physician-owned neurosurgery group in Phoenix is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Neurosurgeon specializing in spine surgery. This position offers a balanced mix of minimally invasive procedures and complex spine reconstructions, supported by a fully integrated care model.

Surgeons in this practice benefit from autonomy in clinical decision-making, on-site diagnostic resources, and a strong referral network—without the operational restrictions often found in hospital-owned settings.

Highlights of the Role

  • Spine-Dedicated Practice: Comprehensive surgical care for cervical, thoracic, and lumbar spine conditions
  • Collaborative Care: Work closely with neurologists, pain specialists, and rehabilitation experts
  • Consistent Surgical Volume: Established referral streams from primary care and specialty providers
  • Physician-Led Environment: Decisions made by practicing neurosurgeons, not administrators
  • Efficient Case Planning: In-house imaging and diagnostics streamline workflow and scheduling

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base Salary: $400,000 – $650,000 (dependent on experience and training)
  • Incentives: Productivity-based RVU bonus and profit-sharing opportunities
  • Benefits Package:
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • Paid vacation and CME time
  • CME allowance with educational support
  • Malpractice coverage
  • Licensing and credentialing fee reimbursement
  • 401(k) with employer contributions
  • Relocation assistance and sign-on bonus for qualified candidates

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and manage degenerative, traumatic, and deformity-related spinal conditions
  • Perform a full spectrum of inpatient and outpatient spine procedures
  • Develop individualized treatment and rehabilitation plans with interdisciplinary teams
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the EMR system
  • Participate in optional initiatives such as quality improvement, mentorship, or leadership development

Qualifications

Required:

  • MD or DO from an accredited U.S. medical school
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neurosurgery
  • Active or eligible Arizona medical license
  • Expertise in spine surgery, including minimally invasive techniques

Preferred:

  • Fellowship training in Spine Surgery (neurosurgical or orthopedic pathway)
  • Experience in team-based, integrated care settings
  • Interest in surgical education, research, or leadership roles
