Fund Tax Accountant

Required Experience & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 3–5 years of experience in financial services with direct exposure to hedge fund, mutual fund, or investment company tax environments
  • Investment fund tax accounting expertise (hedge funds, mutual funds, or investment vehicles)
  • Strong understanding of fixed income securities and derivatives within a tax or accounting context
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills for tax analysis, reconciliations, and reporting

Preferred Experience & Skills:

  • Experience with offshore fund structures and international tax reporting
  • Exposure to ASC 740 (Uncertain Tax Positions)
  • Familiarity with tax and accounting platforms such as Brightline, K1x, Alteryx, Workday, or SS&C GlobeOp
  • Experience supporting accounting or tax system implementations or enhancements
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and cross-functional communication skills
  • CPA or MST designation (completed or in progress)
