Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee all aspects of the business office, including billing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, and cash management.
• Ensure timely and accurate billing to Medicare, Medicaid, private payers, and insurance companies.
• Manage resident trust accounts in accordance with federal and state regulations.
• Conduct financial interviews with new residents and/or responsible parties during the admission process.
• Monitor collections and follow up on delinquent accounts.
• Maintain accurate census information and coordinate with clinical and admissions departments to ensure proper billing.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as company policies.
• Serve as a liaison between the business office and residents, families, and external agencies.

Qualifications:

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or related field preferred.
• Experience in healthcare billing (Medicare/Medicaid/insurance) highly preferred.
• Prior experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting strongly desired.
• Working knowledge of financial software systems; experience with PointClickCare or similar systems a plus.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and able to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
