Mahindra XUV700 Ebony Edition Price and Variants

The Mahindra XUV700 Ebony Edition targets premium buyers. It’s available only on AX7 and AX7L trims. Prices start at Rs 19.64 lakh and go up to Rs 24.14 lakh. For instance, it costs Rs 15,000 more than standard variants. Here’s the pricing (ex-showroom, India):

VariantPetrol-MTPetrol-ATDiesel-MTDiesel-AT
AX7Rs 19.64 lakhRs 21.14 lakhRs 20.14 lakhRs 21.79 lakh
AX7L–Rs 23.34 lakhRs 22.39 lakhRs 24.14 lakh

Moreover, the Ebony Edition offers front-wheel-drive only. It comes in a 7-seat layout. Therefore, it suits buyers seeking style and practicality.

Exterior Design

The Mahindra XUV700 Ebony Edition features a “Stealth Black” theme. However, it’s not entirely black. For example, silver bash plates contrast the dark exterior. The grille and ORVMs are blacked out. The 18-inch alloy wheels also get a dark finish. Additionally, Ebony badges adorn the fenders and tailgate.

With this edition, the XUV700 now offers eight monotone colors. It also provides five dual-tone finishes. Thus, buyers have more customization options.

Interior Features

Inside, the Mahindra XUV700 Ebony Edition feels luxurious. It has black leatherette seats with white stitching. The dashboard and doors feature dark trims. However, a light grey roof liner adds contrast. Silver accents on the steering and dashboard enhance elegance. Dark chrome highlights the gear console and controls.

Additionally, it includes ventilated front seats. The feature set matches the AX7 and AX7L trims. For instance, you get dual 10.25-inch screens. A panoramic sunroof adds to the premium vibe. The AX7L trim also offers a 12-speaker Sony sound system.

Powertrain

The Mahindra XUV700 Ebony Edition retains standard powertrains. It offers a 2.0L turbo-petrol engine with 200 hp. Alternatively, a 2.2L diesel delivers 185 hp. Both engines pair with a 6-speed manual or automatic gearbox. However, no mechanical changes are introduced. Thus, performance remains consistent with other XUV700 models.

Safety Features and Updates

Safety is a priority for the Mahindra XUV700 Ebony Edition. It includes Level-2 ADAS for better driving assistance. The AX7L trim offers seven airbags, including a knee airbag. A 360-degree camera aids parking in tight spaces. Additionally, all XUV700 variants now get rear seat belt reminders.

Mahindra states this might be the last XUV700 update. However, further details are yet to be revealed.

Why Choose the XUV700 Ebony Edition?

Mahindra designed the Mahindra XUV700 Ebony Edition based on feedback. Buyers wanted a darker, premium look. Therefore, the company introduced the Stealth Black theme. Contrasting elements ensure it’s not monotonous. For example, silver skid plates add sophistication.

The Ebony Edition competes with the Tata Safari and Hyundai Alcazar. It also rivals the MG Hector Plus. Its unique style and features make it stand out. Thus, it appeals to buyers seeking exclusivity.

Final Thoughts

The Mahindra XUV700 Ebony Edition is a stylish SUV. It blends bold design with premium features. Priced between Rs 19.64 lakh and Rs 24.14 lakh, it offers value. The stealthy exterior and luxurious interior impress. Additionally, its feature list is comprehensive. Therefore, it’s a fitting tribute to Mahindra’s milestone.

If you want a mid-size SUV that turns heads, consider this edition. Visit your nearest Mahindra dealership for more details. Alternatively, book a test drive today!
