Hyundai Creta EX (O) Variant: A Value-Packed Upgrade

The EX (O) variant serves as an enhanced version of the standard EX trim, offering more features at an accessible price. Key highlights include:

  • A panoramic sunroof, a highly desirable feature among Indian SUV buyers.
  • Pricing starts at Rs. 12.97 lakh (ex-showroom) for the 1.5-litre petrol manual and goes up to Rs. 15.96 lakh for the diesel automatic.
  • This variant offers a better balance between affordability and premium features, making it an attractive option for customers looking for an enhanced driving experience without a significant price jump.

Hyundai Creta SX Premium: A Feature-Rich Offering

Positioned above the SX trim, the SX Premium variant adds several high-end features that elevate the Creta’s premium appeal:

  • Ventilated front seats for added comfort in hot climates.
  • 8-way power-adjustable driver’s seat, ensuring convenience and ease of use.
  • Premium 8-speaker Bose audio system for an immersive in-car entertainment experience.
  • Leather upholstery, enhancing the cabin’s luxury feel.
  • Pricing starts at Rs. 16.18 lakh (ex-showroom) for the petrol manual and goes up to Rs. 17.76 lakh for the diesel manual.

Feature Enhancements Across the Creta Lineup

Alongside the introduction of new variants, Hyundai has made significant feature updates to existing trims:

  • The top-spec SX (O) variant now includes rain-sensing wipers and a wireless charging pad for rear passengers, adding more convenience for occupants.
  • A Smart Key with motion sensors is now available from the S (O) variant onwards, enhancing security and ease of access.
  • Hyundai has also expanded the availability of Titan Grey Matte and Starry Night color options across all Creta variants. Previously, these colors were exclusive to select higher trims.

Engine and Transmission Options

Hyundai continues to offer the Creta with a choice of three powertrains:

  • 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine – Available with a 6-speed manual or IVT (Intelligent Variable Transmission).
  • 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine – Paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission (DCT) for a sportier performance.
  • 1.5-litre diesel engine – Offered with a 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic transmission.

Pricing and Positioning

With these updates, the Hyundai Creta’s price range now extends from Rs. 11.10 lakh to Rs. 20.41 lakh (ex-showroom), offering a wide spectrum of choices based on features, performance, and budget. The introduction of the EX (O) and SX Premium trims underscores Hyundai’s strategy to enhance Creta’s competitiveness in an increasingly crowded segment.
