Department:ERIK | Artificial Intelligence Hub Job Overview The Research Scientist will lead and support innovative research initiatives within artificial intelligence, contributing to the advancement of knowledge and technology within the university-wide AI(X) Hub. This will span 15 colleges and unlock the exponential possibilities that emerge when AI is fused with expertise across six strategic pillars: foundations, health, engineering and sciences, agriculture, cybersecurity and trustworthy AI. This role involves designing innovative AI-based solutions for diverse applications, working together with domain experts to conduct experiments, analyzing data, publishing findings, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams. Inter-disciplinary research experience with a focus on health sciences and biomedicine and artificial intelligence is highly desired. The ideal candidate will demonstrate scientific rigor, creativity, and a commitment to excellence in research. Required QualificationsThe salary for this position will start at $140,000, annually, and will be commensurate with education, experience, peer equity, and the unit's available budget.
