Position : Paralegal
Location : Remote Hybrid (Houston/Austin, Texas)
Hourly Rate: $20 - $35 per hour (commensurate with experience)

We are a small but growing firm with locations in Austin and Houston, Texas. Our practice extends across major Texas metropolitan areas, with a primary focus on Real Estate litigation. Our team practices in a wide variety of areas involving real estate transactions, from debt collection and defense, contracts, and torts, all the way up to constitutional issues, which keeps our work novel and interesting as well as professionally rewarding. We are a seeking a dedicated Paralegal to support our legal team.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist attorneys with case preparation, legal research, and document drafting.
• Prepare and file legal documents, including pleadings, contracts, and correspondence.
• Manage case files, organize records, and maintain accurate documentation.
• Communicate with clients, court personnel, and other professionals regarding case matters.
• Review and summarize legal documents, contracts, and depositions.
• Conduct factual and legal research to support case strategies.
• Track case deadlines, court filings, and compliance requirements.
  
   

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 3 years’ experience as a litigation paralegal; experience in real estate litigation is preferred.
• Paralegal certification or a degree from an accredited institution.
• Familiarity with federal and state court rules and procedures.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in legal research tools and eDiscovery platforms.

Job Expectations:
This position requires a self-disciplined team player who is comfortable working remotely and collaborating effectively with others. The candidate must be available for occasional in-person workdays and periodic court appearances in either the Houston or Austin area, depending on the hiring location. The role can be demanding and sometimes stressful, requiring strong multitasking skills and the flexibility to work beyond standard business hours.
