Job Description

Stevens Structural Components, a division of Stevens Construction Corp. for the prefabrication of commercial wall panels, is searching for a Drafter to join the team. This position will be on site at our Structural Components Plant in Cottage Grove, WI. This is an entry-level role with training and advancement within our design team!
Stevens Construction Corp. is a commercial general contractor with self-performed trades of concrete, carpentry, and prefabricated walls. We specialize in the new construction of various commercial, multi-unit, and mixed-use buildings.

The Drafter is responsible for drafting, material take offs and estimation of commercial wall panels for large multi-unit buildings using MiTek software.
Use structural and architectural plans to draft and produce wall panel component drawings in 2D
Generate completed drawings into 3D for review
Perform wall panel material take offs
Coordinate drafting closely with Structural Components Project Manager
Ensure quality of work is accurate per project specifications and construction code standards
Ensure deadlines are hit to meet production schedule
Clarify specifications and answer questions from production floor and field construction teams
Requirements
Associate's degree in architecture or engineering fields
Ability to read and understand construction drawings
Exposure to drafting and design software
