After initial test mules were spotted in South Korea, the next-generation Hyundai Venue has now been seen testing in India. The latest spy shots, featuring a test mule under heavy camouflage, reveal some design changes, particularly in the rear section. Here’s what we know so far:

Exterior Design Updates
- Rear Section: The spy shots reveal a redesigned rear quarter section with changes to the silhouette. The window area, especially near the C-pillar, has been slightly revised, giving the C-pillar a thicker and more muscular appearance.
- Tail Lights: A new LED tail light design is visible, along with a sportier rear bumper.
- Side Profile: While the overall silhouette remains unchanged, expect new alloy wheels. The exact size—16 or 17 inches—has not been confirmed yet.
- Front Fascia: Though not revealed in Indian spy shots, earlier glimpses from South Korea show a revised front grill with Hyundai’s signature parametric design. Triple ice cube-style LED DRLs and vertically arranged LED headlights are expected.
ADAS and Interior Features
- ADAS Technology: South Korean test mules included a radar module at the front, suggesting Level-2 ADAS. It is a good indication that the Indian model will also feature Level-2 ADAS as the current Venue already gets Level-1 ADAS.
- Interior Upgrades: Interior images are yet to surface, but speculations suggest a twin 10.2-inch screen layout on the dashboard, similar to Hyundai’s sibling Sonet. New seat designs and more advanced features are also anticipated.
Powertrain Options
The next-gen Hyundai Venue is expected to carry forward the current powertrain lineup, which includes:
- 1.2L 4-cylinder NA Petrol Engine
- Gearbox: 5-speed MT
- 1.0L 3-cylinder Turbo Petrol Engine
- Gearbox: 6-speed iMT, 7-speed DCT
- 1.5L 4-cylinder Turbo Diesel Engine
- Gearbox: 6-speed MT
Segment Competition and Launch
The sub-4m SUV segment is crowded with many recently updated players, including the Tata Nexon, Maruti Brezza, Kia Sonet, Mahindra XUV300, and upcoming models like Kia Syros. The Hyundai Venue, launched in 2019 and updated with a major facelift in 2022, now faces fierce competition. A generational update is well-timed to boost Venue’s appeal and reclaim its position in the market.
The next-gen Hyundai Venue is likely to debut by the end of 2025, promising significant upgrades to design, features, and technology to stay competitive in the sub-4m SUV market.
