Hyundai Venue: Next-Gen Compact SUV

The second-generation Hyundai Venue will launch between October and December 2025. Its existing price is at ₹8-15 lakh (ex-showroom). This compact SUV rivals the Maruti Suzuki Brezza and Tata Nexon. Additionally, it features a bold redesign with split LED headlights and a parametric grille. Connected LED taillights enhance its look on higher trims. Inside, a dual 10.25-inch screen setup, a panoramic sunroof, and Level-2 ADAS features like adaptive cruise control stand out.

The Venue is set to retain its 1.0-litre turbo-petrol (120 hp), 1.2-litre petrol (83 hp), and 1.5-litre diesel (116 hp) engines. Transmission options include manual and DCT. Production will start at Hyundai’s Talegaon facility, aiming to maintain its 18% share of Hyundai’s India sales.

Maruti Suzuki Baleno: Next-Gen Premium Hatchback

Maruti Suzuki will launch the next-gen Baleno between July and September 2025. Currently it is priced at ₹7-12 lakh (ex-showroom). This hatchback will compete with the Hyundai i20 and Tata Altroz. Moreover, it features refreshed styling with a new grille and LED headlights. A larger infotainment screen and a sunroof add to its appeal.

A hybrid powertrain is a key highlight, improving fuel efficiency alongside the new Z-series 3-cylinder 1.2-litre petrol engine. Maruti aims to strengthen its position in the hatchback segment. After all, the Baleno has been a top seller despite the rise of SUVs.

Hyundai Creta: Next-Gen Testing in 2025

The next-gen Hyundai Creta is expected to launch in early 2027. However, testing began in 2025. It is currently priced at ₹12-21 lakh (ex-showroom). This SUV will rival the Kia Seltos and Maruti Grand Vitara. Furthermore, it will feature a full redesign with a premium cabin. A larger touchscreen, upgraded materials, and a hybrid powertrain is likely to be included. The hybrid option will join its 1.5-litre petrol and diesel engines. Although details are limited, the Creta’s hybrid focus aligns with India’s push for greener vehicles.

Toyota Fortuner: Next-Gen with Hybrid Power

The next-gen Toyota Fortuner is expected to arrive in late 2025 or early 2026. This D-segment SUV will compete with the MG Gloster and Jeep Meridian. For example, it features a bold design with a redesigned grille and split LED headlights.

New alloy wheels will enhance its look. It will retain the existing 2.8-litre diesel engine but with a new 48V mild-hybrid system (204 hp, 500 Nm). A 2.7-litre turbo-petrol is also likely. Both engines pair with 6-speed manual or automatic transmissions. An optional 4×4 system is included. Yet, the presence of ADAS in the Indian model is unconfirmed!

Skoda Kodiaq: Next-Gen Seven-Seater SUV

Skoda will launch the second-generation Kodiaq in coming months of 2025. To be priced at ₹45-55 lakh (ex-showroom). This SUV will rival the Toyota Fortuner and Volkswagen Tiguan.

It features updated styling with a larger grille and LED headlights. A panoramic sunroof adds to its appeal. Inside, a 13-inch infotainment screen, a 10-inch digital display, and ADAS are included. The Kodiaq retains its 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine (190 hp, 320 Nm) with a 7-speed DCT. Local assembly via the CKD route is to keep pricing competitive.

Renault Triber: Next-Gen Compact MPV

The next-gen Renault Triber will launch between June and August 2025. This seven-seater MPV will compete with the Maruti Ertiga. Besides, it features a refreshed design with new headlights and a revised grille. A larger touchscreen and improved safety features enhance its tech.

triber facelift

The Triber retains its 1.0-litre petrol engine (72 hp, 96 Nm). It pairs with a 5-speed manual or AMT. Renault aims to boost its market share in the MPV segment, where the Triber has performed well despite sales challenges.

Why These Launches Matter

The next-gen cars India 2025 cater to diverse buyers. The Venue and Triber offer affordable options. Meanwhile, the Baleno’s hybrid powertrain supports India’s green vehicle push. The Fortuner and Kodiaq target luxury buyers. Additionally, the Creta’s upcoming hybrid option signals a sustainable future.
