Maruti Suzuki is set to launch the all-new 2024 Dzire on November 11, and it comes with a host of exciting updates. The compact sedan will sport a distinct design, differentiating itself from the Swift hatchback, with sharper styling, a more aggressive front grille, sleek headlamps, and a refreshed rear with wraparound LED taillights. For the first time, Dzire will feature a segment-first sunroof, enhancing its premium appeal.
Exterior and Design
The new Dzire’s design is expected to mark a shift toward a more premium and sporty aesthetic, with a horizontally slatted grille and chrome elements giving it a modern touch. It will also feature diamond-cut alloy wheels and blacked-out B-pillars for a sleek look. The rear has been revamped with a glossy black strip connecting the LED taillights, a new bumper design, and a shark-fin antenna.
Interior Features
Inside, the new Dzire will offer a host of tech-savvy features, starting with a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system that supports wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The dashboard and upholstery will have a lighter, more premium finish. The car is also equipped with automatic climate control, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, and a 4.2-inch digital MID. Other advanced features may include ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), which could be available in higher variants, setting a new benchmark for safety in the compact sedan segment.
Engine and Powertrain
The 2024 Dzire will continue to be powered by Maruti’s 1.2-liter, three-cylinder Z-series petrol engine, also shared with the Swift. It will offer both petrol and petrol-CNG variants, with transmission options including a 5-speed manual and an automatic gearbox. The CNG version will be paired with a manual transmission only.
Features
In a bid to move further upmarket, the Dzire will feature a sunroof, adding to its appeal for families. Other comforts include a wireless charger, rear AC vents, and electrically adjustable ORVMs (outside rearview mirrors). Safety is enhanced with six airbags, electronic stability control, hill-hold assist, reverse parking sensors, and a rear parking camera.
Competition
Maruti Suzuki Dzire competes with sedans like Hyundai Aura, Honda Amaze, and Tata Tigor. With the new features and premium styling, it aims to retain its edge over these rivals. The inclusion of potential ADAS features could set a new standard in the compact sedan market.
With deliveries expected to begin by mid-November, the new Dzire will likely continue its stronghold in India’s sedan market, offering a more premium experience with cutting-edge features that cater to both safety and comfort.
